18 Wines in 18 Days ...

I was told it couldn't be done ... a good Zinfandel under $10 ... I guess I got lucky and found a good one ... we've got a winner here! I found a tasty treat last night fighting the Christmas crowds at the LCBO ... and I think everyone is doing the same as I am as most of the wines priced under $10 were out of stock. But they all missed this one!

36TH PARALLEL ZINFANDEL PRIMITIVO MANDURIA
LCBO 612754 | 750 mL bottle

I can see why Zinfandel lovers are so passionate about their wine ... the primitivo grape serves up a rich and full bodied wine a fruity aroma that is quite pleasant to the nose. The most dominant flavor was blackberry and we confirmed this as we had some blackberries to taste while sipping the wine. A Zinfandel under $10 that fulfilled expectations ... a solid 8.5 out of 10 and will definitely be part of my wine cellar ... unless everyone else discovers this gem!
