11 Wines in 11 Days ...

One day off the reds and I'm reviewing another. Small confession ... this will be the only wine I review that is over $10 ... this one is $11.95 and on sale for $10.95 ... but I really wanted to review it as I had bought 2 bottles ... one as a gift and was hoping for a good review!

PISSE-DRU BEAUJOLAIS
LCBO 2881 | 750 mL bottle

OMG ... "hoping" for a good review? I luv this wine! I just got home from playing hockey and I usually have a treat ... tonight it is a very old chedder and I have found the perfect match!

The wine has an intense ruby red color and has a very fruity aroma and very vibrant flavors. I've had some very dark red wines before and there was a certain "pucker" feeling. None of that here. The taste kind of explodes in your mouth and is very smooth going down. It just seems to cut the sharp taste of the chedder I'm having and everything seems to meld together and provide a very pleasing experience ....

Would I buy it again? Absolutely ... 8.5 out of ten (I would have given it a 9 if it was under $10, but fair is fair) ... and highly recommended!
