2 Wines in 2 Days!

Ok ... yesterday we talked about setting the bar high ... well today we continue. As I stated before my favorite wine is Sauvignon Blanc and Del introduced me to "Stoneleigh Sauvignon Blanc" from Malborough, New Zealand. Now we cannot include that in our list as it costs about $17 (although as an aside, we will showcase a "few" Canadian wines up to $12 due to our lower dollar vis a vis other wines coming into Canada) but that wine is what I consider a "10" and is the wine I will judge all others against!

That being said, the first Sauvignon Blanc I will rate here is TaraPaca, from Chile.

VINA TARAPACA SAUVIGNON BLANC
LCBO 414185 | 750 mL bottle

This is one incredible wine and I am reviewing it early as I'm going to set the bar high! There is a definite grassy aroma as you swirl the wine in the glass and the citris flavors are very strong. I wish this wine were featured in more restaurents around town although Del mentioned it is on the wine list at the Keg ... way to Keg!!! While good with any dish (as far as I am concerned!!) it is recommended more for seafood or chicken dishes ... or as I tell anyone ... it goes perfectly well anywhere, anytime!! A solid 9.5/10 ... let the battle begin!

We had a small party, and everybody was into red wine, so i forgot to buy white wine. My mother in law only drinks white wine. So I ran to the supermarket, and the only thing they had was this one for $3.96
My mother in law enjoyed this as it was worht a $100. Later I tasted it and was surprised. Great value
